Soshanguve Animal Shelter and Educentre NPC is a nonprofit organization that provides dog welfare services in Soshanguve, a township in the City of Tshwane, Gauteng, South Africa. We rescue, rehabilitate and rehome stray and abandoned dogs, as well as educate the community about responsible pet ownership.
One of our main responsibilities is to provide vaccination for the dogs in our care. Vaccination is vital for preventing serious diseases such as canine distemper, infectious hepatitis, parvovirus, leptospirosis and rabies. However, vaccination can be quite expensive, especially for puppies who need multiple shots.
One of our main challenges is to provide deworming for the dogs in our care. Deworming is essential for eliminating intestinal parasites such as roundworms, hookworms, tapeworms and whipworms. These parasites can cause serious health problems such as diarrhea, vomiting, weight loss and anemia. However, deworming can be quite costly, especially for large breeds and puppies.
You can help us by sponsoring deworming for a rescued dog. This will cover the cost of deworming products such as tablets, liquids or pastes from reputable brands. By doing so, you will not only improve a dog’s health, but also prevent the spread of parasites to other animals and humans.
